Mid Life Crisis isn't just buying a new car! Known to those in the trenches, MLC starts with depression and way too often ends with destruction like you have never imagined, AND it's caused by the one person you are closest to and have trusted the most to share and build your life with. We will be talking directly with people who are presently in MLC and will share what it's like to live through this most challenging time of their life. We will hear from Left Behind Spouses on the trauma of being discarded, having to endure smear campaigns and having a spouse that you discover has rewritten your marital history.  Some spouses are known as Standers, some become Forward Moving Spouses, and you'll hear from the reconciled spouses and couples and of course, we will be speaking with experts in the field. These are the stories you won't hear anywhere else, so grab your beverage, get comfortable and join us as we hear the untold stories of MLC.

ABOUT YOUR HOST

Mid Life Crisis: Bomb Drop and Beyond is a compelling podcast hosted by Trina Laird who through personal experience and community involvement, discovered the often-overlooked phenomenon of midlife crisis (MLC). The podcast explores the sudden, confusing shifts that can occur when a person enters this mental and emotional storm, often leaving their families stunned by unexpected decisions and dramatic personality changes.

More than just a platform for sharing stories, Bomb Drop and Beyond aims to spark a larger conversation about the need for MLC to be formally recognized by the mental health community - pushing for research, diagnosis, and treatment options similar to other mental health conditions like bipolar disorder or depression. Trina's mission is to help shed light not only on the person in crisis but also on the ripple effects felt by their spouses, children, and loved ones. Through open dialogue, expert insights, and unwavering advocacy, this podcast seeks to drive awareness, foster support, and ignite real change.

Educated domestically and abroad, Trina holds a B.A. in Psychology from George Mason University. With a dynamic background in publishing, advertising, and media relations, she transitioned from the corporate world to a thriving career as a full-time Realtor. A proud mother of two wonderful adult children and a devoted grandmother, she currently resides in Northern California with her sweetest ever golden retriever, two birds, and - at least for now- her golden doodle granddog Remi.
